In the podcast we talk we three members of the Thunderbolts Car Club from Taylor, Texas established in the 1950s. They are one of the earliest car clubs formed following the guidelines of the NHRA to go club racing in the state of Texas for the regional national drag racing championships. A time when drag racing was organized on converted airstrips or blocked off streets for a 1/4 mile drag race.
