Located just outside of Dallas in Lewisville, TX. Considered to be one of the very first super tracks in NHRA history.  Home to the NHRA Spring Nationals  1969-71 and World finals 1969-70. Was also IHRA sanctioned in 1972 until it closed. Its main attraction was the speedway tower  known for its unique futuristic concept. In these photos one of our members caught up with the lovely Linda Vaughn ‘Miss Hurst’ while riding down the elevator and the other shot taken from the upper floor shows the starting line with Gene Snows funny car. Check out this photo set from Bruce Fullertons files of the 1969 Spring Nationals click!
